CVRT Reminder Software
So No Van Goes Out Untested
A lapsed CVRT takes a van off the road entirely. FleetMain tracks the CVRT expiry on every commercial vehicle you run, emails you at 30, 14 and 7 days, and reminds you about the retest window if a vehicle fails.

How CVRT dates get missed
- Commercial vehicles are tested annually, so there is a new date to track every single year on every vehicle.
- Book too close to expiry and a failure leaves no time to repair and retest before the certificate lapses.
- The retest window is short. Miss it and you pay for a full test again rather than a retest.
- Vans on the road all day are the easiest ones to forget until the certificate has already gone.
- Mixed fleets confuse the annual CVRT cycle with the two-year NCT cycle and assume there is more time than there is.
How FleetMain keeps the date
Three warnings, not one
Email alerts at 30, 14 and 7 days before expiry. The 30-day alert is the one that lets you book with a buffer.
Retest reminders after a failure
Record a failed test and FleetMain tracks the retest deadline and the outstanding items still to fix.
Booking reminders
A heads-up the day before a booked test, sent to you and optionally to the driver or garage handling it.
Every other date alongside it
Motor Tax and insurance sit on the same vehicle record, so the CVRT is not tracked in isolation from everything else that can ground the van.
Service history per vehicle
Log the repairs done between tests with date, cost and mileage, so the maintenance record stays with the vehicle.
Safety inspection tracking
For HGVs and buses, the periodic safety inspection due date is tracked too, since the annual test is only one layer of the obligation.
Frequently asked questions
Which vehicles need a CVRT rather than an NCT?
The CVRT applies to commercial vehicles: vans, light commercials, HGVs, buses and taxis. Private passenger cars and motorbikes take the NCT instead. FleetMain applies the correct test automatically based on the vehicle type you select.
Will it remind me about a retest if a vehicle fails?
Yes. Record the failed test and the outstanding items, and FleetMain tracks the retest deadline and includes it in your alerts, so the short retest window does not get lost in a busy week.
Can more than one person get the alerts?
Yes. On the Business plan and above you can invite colleagues as admin, member or viewer, so compliance does not depend on one person watching one inbox.
What does it cost?
FleetMain is free for your first vehicle. Paid plans start at €12 per month for up to 12 vehicles, €29 per month for up to 35 vehicles with 5 team seats, and €50 per month for up to 100 vehicles with 10 team seats. All prices include VAT.
